Respite Grant
The respite grant is to support a family member who is in significiant need of time out or a break and this grant helps to cover the cost of respite accommodation for the child.
The respite provider must be registered and able to provide a GST invoice.
Financial Need – To demonstrate that you have a financial need and your household income from all sources is below the following – see chart below – your application may be considered.

Please note that we will not accept any retrospective applications for services that have already taken place and been paid for.
Diagnosis – Please note that primarily sensory and intellectual disabilities will not qualify for Wilson Home Trust funding. Note if evidence of a physical disability is not clear a Verification of Diagnosis Form will need to completed by a health professional. Please contact info@wilsonhomestrust.org.nz to obtain the Verification of Diagnosis form.
Please be advised that from the date of receipt of the application, the grant should take a maximum of 3 working days to process and an email notification will be duly sent to the grant applicant advising of the grant outcome.
