BEQUESTS
Leaving a Legacy to the Trust
87 years back, the incredibly generous Mr. and Mrs. R W Wilson made a significant contribution by donating their home and gardens at St Leonard’s Road, Takapuna, along with a whopping 10,000 pounds sterling in Trust. This act, paired with an additional 10,000 pounds sterling from Lord Nuffield, established endowment funds ensuring the home’s dedicated use for supporting children and young adults with physical disabilities, particularly those affected by polio.
Thanks to the generosity of these three individuals, the Wilson Home Trust has evolved into what it is today – a cornerstone of support for thousands of physically disabled children and their families in the Upper North Island. The trust provides assistance in areas such as medical care, financial support, emotional well-being, and access to information and resources.
You have the opportunity to contribute to this remarkable legacy by leaving a gift or donation in your will. For further details, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Trust Manager at 09 485 3463. Your support can help continue the impactful work of the Wilson Home Trust for years to come.
