Holiday Grant
The purpose of the holiday grant is to support a family who is in significant need of time out and requires assistance to pay for accommodation and travel costs.
To make the most of this grant we recommend that applicants use this over two or three smaller breaks until the maximum amount of $2,300 including GST is reached before the child turns 22 years. Please allow no less than 20 days before your planned holiday.
Day Trips to attractions throughout New Zealand are included as part of our Holiday Grant fund.
The holiday grant is valid for 6 months. We recommend that you receive prior approval from the Trust before any bookings are made. Please note that we will not consider any retrospective applications i.e., for holidays / day trips that have already been taken. You can stay at any location of your choice. You can pay initially and we will reimburse (proof of payment needed – please keep your receipts) or if you are unable to pay, please advise and we can arrange payment directly to the accommodation.
Please note that we are unable to pay directly to AirBnB, Booking.com or any other accommodation booking sites, if you choose these site you will need to pay them in advance and we will reimburse
Only one application can be made every twelve months.
Financial Need – If you do not have a Community Services Card and can demonstrate that you have a financial need and your household income from all sources is below the following – see chart below, your application may be considered.

If you do not have a Community Services Card and your income is below the amounts above, please fill out the Financial Need Detail Form and email it to grants@wilsonhometrust.org.nz or attach it to you application.

Please be advised that from the date of receipt of the application, the grant should take a maximum of 3 working days to process and an email notification will be duly sent to the grant applicant advising of the grant outcome.

- You are responsible for any cancelation fees incurred, any charges over $2,000 excluding GST ($2,300 including GST). You are also responsible for meals and entertainment.
