What is included in your three hour booking?

You can have your ceremony in either the chapel or gardens. If you have your ceremony in the gardens you can have the chapel as a wet weather back up option. You have the venue for 3 hours and extra hours are available at an additional cost. This cost includes your initial viewing, pre wedding appointment with our wedding coordinator and your rehearsal.

Bookings are for a three hour period and bookings can be extended with a charge of $100 plus GST for each additional hour.

Can we have our reception in the Wilson Home?

We are not a reception venue however you are welcome to have canapes and beverages in the gardens after your ceremony. As an option we have had previous weddings where people have not wanted a sit down wedding and have had continuous canapes. 

Do we have to use your caterer?

No, we are a self-catering venue, whether you are using a caterer or self-catering, we have a full kitchen complete with servery, which is ideal to run canapés from, set up a grazing table in the garden, we have had candy floss machines, gelato cart and lots of food trucks. 

How many outdoor chairs do you have?

We have 100 white outdoor plastic chairs. You are welcome to bring your own chairs in.

Can I hire my own furniture or decorations?

Absolutely, while our venue is standalone and stunning, we pride ourselves on being a blank canvas for couples to decorate and dress the venue with their own personal style!  You can hire or bring your own garden chairs, garden games etc.  We have some great examples and ideas on our Instagram page - https://www.instagram.com/thewilsonhometrustweddings

How many people can be seated in the Chapel?

We have seating and white chair covers for 120 and chairs for 150 people.

Do you have any area for the bride or bridal party to get ready?

Our Heritage Cottage Lounge with French doors and separate unisex bathroom is available for hire as a bridal salon. Minimum booking is for a 3-hour period at a cost of $300+ GST, additional hours cost $50 + GST

Is you chapel non-denominational?

Yes

Can we bring our own Minister or Pastor?

Yes you need to organise your own Minster, Pastor or Celebrant for your ceremony.  Our on-site Celebrant is available for all our ceremonies.  For her fees and services please see her facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/justinevdcelebrant

Do you provide a sound system?

Yes for the chapel but you will need to bring your own sound system in for garden weddings.

Where can people park?

The bridal car can be parked directly outside the Chapel. All other guests must park in either the lower carpark or on St Leonards Road. There is no parking permitted in the top carpark outside the Wilson Home as this is reserved for families in the home.

Who is responsible for cleaning up at the end of the wedding?

All decorations and any recycling must be taken away by the wedding party.
